These are some of the funkiest Rocksteady, Reggae and Ska songs in my collection. To me, nothing is more uplifting than Ska music. When it is infused with Soul and R&B it makes for the perfect summer party mix! Expect to hear a very young Bob Marley, some great Ska covers of everything from classic Motown to Radiohead and some super funky original tracks too. 1991 the year Punk Broke!! I'm feeling nostalgic about my High School Years. I know I'm really showing my age here but, when I was in High School the biggest band in the world was Nirvana. After I Graduated and started College the biggest band in the world was The Backstreet Boys. I think this just proves that my generation was probably a much cooler generation than all of those that came after. winking These were some of my favorite songs to listen to back in those days. I love these songs for the way they remind me of those years. When the radio and television wasn't completely void of great music and culture. Before Hip Hop sold out. Before the Spice Girls. Before the Jonas Brothers were hosting the MMVAs. Don't get me wrong, there was still a lot of Pop Garbage on the airwaves but they weren't completely saturated like they are now.

Here's the track list...

Artist / Song Title

Hayden / In September
Sonic Youth / Kool Thing
Dinosaur Jr. / Feel The Pain
Weezer / Susanne
Ben Lee / Cigarettes Will Kill You
The Breeders / Do You Love Me Now
Hayden / As Bad As They Seem
Sonic Youth / Diamond Sea
The Pixies / Wave Of Mutilation (U.K. Surf)
Cowboy Junkies / Sweet Jane
Portishead / It's A Fire
The Posies / Coming Right Along
Tool / Sober
Rage Against The Machine / Settle For Nothing
Korn / Faggot
Beastie Boys / Jimmy James
The Pharcyde / Passin' Me By
Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth / They Reminisce Over You
Sublime / Date Rape
The Pixies / Where Is My Mind

There are tons of bands I wanted to include like Cypress Hill, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and A Tribe Called Quest but I like to keep this podcast short enough to fit on one C.D.

See You Next Week!
